Certified onsite sewage disposal system inspector files, 1988-[ongoing].

The division is responsible, in cooperation with county health departments, for the inspection and approval of onsite sewage disposal systems before they are covered with dirt to ensure the system is constructed in accordance with the approved standard and specifications. A certification program for onsite sewage disposal system inspectors was initiated in 1988 to train and certify local public health environmentalists as qualified inspectors. This series consists of examination sheets completed by the certified inspectors, copies of certificates, memoranda, and correspondence.
